Our Studio Policies

We aspire to create a welcoming environment for all artists visiting our studio. To achieve this, The STU has implemented the following set of policies.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The STU operates under a 24-hour cancellation/modification policy. Should you decide to cancel or reschedule within less than 24 hours before your scheduled booking, the full amount of the booking will be charged. This policy extends to “same day” bookings as well. For bookings made on the same day or less than 24 hours in advance, they will be considered as HARD bookings, and no changes or cancellations can be made without payment.

Events, filming, or multi-day bookings necessitate more than 48-hour notice for cancellation. With multi-day bookings, a minimum of 48 hours of the booking will be charged.

Studio Lockdowns require at least one-week advance notice for cancellation.

Any cancellation or modification made outside of the stipulated time frame will incur charges equivalent to the full booking amount.

Cancellation can be made by emailing us, or by phone. If no one is available to take your call, please leave a voice message with your cancellation details. As long as the cancellation is made within the stipulated time frame, no charges will be incurred for the booking.

STUDIO RENTALS
AUDITIONS, FILMING & PRIVATE EVENTS require approval from The STU before booking and cannot be reserved online due to variations in rates and cancellation policies. A deposit and Event Rental Agreement must be submitted at the time of booking.

Please conclude your bookings punctually to allow our other clients to commence their bookings promptly. We recommend wrapping up approximately 5 minutes before the scheduled end time of your booking to ensure timely vacating of the space.

In the event that your booking concludes earlier than scheduled, you are still responsible for the full duration of the booking time.

All bookings mandate a valid credit card/debit card to be on file. The card will be charged 23 hours prior to the actual booking time to align with our 24-hour cancellation policy. If you wish to pay on a different credit card than the card on file, you must also do so 23 hours prior.  Clients wishing to pay via Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle should do so at the time of booking to prevent charges to their credit card.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the credit card information on file is current and accurate. The STU reserves the right to suspend any accounts that become delinquent.

Credit cards/debit cards on file must be in the account holder’s name or directly affiliated.

The STU DOES NOT override or cancel bookings unless our entire facility has been rented out. In such instances, we will work closely with each client to facilitate relocation and/or compensate for any inconvenience. We will also provide clients with as much advance notice as possible in such situations.

The STU accepts Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Venmo, Zelle, and business checks upon approval.

TAP/FLAMENCO/IRISH DANCE
Please be advised that in order to maintain the quality of our dance floors, Tap, Flamenco, and Irish Dance activities are not permitted in studios.

GENERAL POLICIES
Please observe the privacy of all patrons at The STU. Kindly refrain from entering a studio until the preceding booking has concluded. In the event of a delayed booking, notify a staff member for assistance in accessing the studio.
Please refrain from soliciting photos or autographs from any celebrity guests.
Absolutely NO alcohol, marijuana, or illegal substances are permitted on the premises at any time, including the parking lot. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate eviction of the client/guest and the right to refuse future bookings at The STU.

Gum, glitter, silly string, or confetti are strictly prohibited within the premises.
Food or drinks (aside from water) are not permitted inside the dance studios without prior approval from The STU. A designated lounge area is provided for food consumption.

The STU cannot be held liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items left unattended inside or outside the building.

Overnight parking is not permitted. Stack parking is allowed only with permission.
Please adhere to all parking signs to avoid towing at the owner’s expense.

The STU furniture, equipment, props, and belongings must remain on the premises at all times.

A limited number of folding tables, chairs and lighting equipment is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Clients are kindly requested to return items to their designated location at the conclusion of their booking.

Clients/guests will be held liable for any damage caused to The STU property or neighboring properties.

The STU reserves the right to terminate a booking if it is found to be in violation of any studio policy.

The STU reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
